The beginning of Anatot
In 1985 we undertook this project feeling the urge to create an enabling space for new relationship roles and to build and embrace a more satisfying, fuller life. Anatot is a place of attention and presence.
We have eagerly, bravely and persistently shaped this 12.000 m² field, once a wasteland, to turn it into a place of peace for our guests.
The meaning of Anatot is «answer»
We started being the first educational farm on the island. We focused on the processes of our handmade products. We made bread, cheese, we developed organic farming, creative cuisine, art forms… valuing friendship, taking care of the beautiful surroundings and providing personal and social development through camps, school visits, meetings and courses.
In the 90s we collaborated with the ICFEM and offered organic farming, solar energy, masonry and cooking workshops.
At the same time, several prominent and international professionals in the therapeutic, social and educational field courses have chosen Anatot to provide workshops and training courses.
Over the years, Anatot has held events, fairs, and seasonal celebrations. Our Spring Fair in 1988 is still remembered: Historia de una locura creativa.
This project has grown old with us

All these years I’ve complemented my career as holistic therapist with the role as creative responsible of Anatot’s kitchen and coordinator of the place.

When we started this project I was in my thirties, I’m now in my sixties. I’ve designed and built the spaces. I’m decisive and I take care of the logistic. During these years I’ve got into biodynamic agriculture, Waldorf Education (I’m trained in Biography Work and Anthroposophy) and I still take my time developing my creativity.
